Amazon Basin Sovereign Programme
Multi-nation · Sovereign Conservation, Forestry & Carbon ABS
Scale of the programme
The Amazon Basin Sovereign Programme is NATDAQ’s flagship multi-nation development pilot. It aggregates national conservation, forestry, and carbon programmes across nine Amazon sovereign states into a unified sovereign-issuance framework. Each nation retains full title and operational control; the SPV pools the cashflow rights into AiGLe-scored senior tranches for institutional deployment.
Illustrative capital stack (subject to per-nation assessment, sovereign host-country authorisation, and tranche-level scoring):
- Conservation ABS — 530m ha at $2,000/ha par = $1,060bn issuance potential.
- Forestry ABS— 159m ha across Teak and Rosewood species models = $2,120bn issuance potential.
- Carbon ABS— Article 6 ITMO aggregation across the nine sovereign registries.
Full country-by-country breakdown, species economics, tranche architecture, and institutional balance-sheet analysis are in the Amazon Basin Financial Model — accessible through the Research Archive under NDA.
